All hail the B-17. This one actually flew back after taking a flak round head on. There are even instances of these tanks operating with practically half of the plane missing.

Dammit, can’t post pics, but in ‘83 an Israeli F-15D Baz Fox-Four’d an A-4, and the pilot managed to land with one wing .
I’d bring up Kim Campbell’s A-10, but that’s cheating...

I always thought the F-15 with one wing was a hoax. Just wow. The footage of it going down the runway is just wrong.

I’m pretty sure the History Channel footage is just edited footage of a normal F-22 landing. That said, it was definitely no hoax, the aircraft was seriously broken.
